Jesus Centres offer a wide range of events, activities and services – from mentoring to mums and tots, from maths tuition to money-management, from healing groups to haircuts.
Sheffield Jesus Centre is no exception. On the outer edge of the city’s inner ring-road, Sheffield Jesus Centre provides a place of peace and restoration for many. Stop by at “The Parlour Cafe” for lunch or a light snack and get involved in one or more of the many activities.
Each Jesus Centre has a drop-in, aimed primarily at supporting the disadvantaged and homeless or vulnerably housed. In Sheffield it’s “The Lounge”. Come along and get a hot drink and snack, relax, make friends, take advantage of our clothing store and laundry facilities, use a PC or the phone, have a game of dominos or chess, join in with our Book Club, share your burdens and receive prayer if you wish.
Popular groups include “Your Art”, “Stitch and Knit”, “Young at Heart” and “Fuel Stop”. In addition we have Sewing and ESOL classes, and regular monthly events, such as films and a Summer Gala. For a weekly diary of events, click here. A new activity we are starting is a Table Tennis Knoackabout on Moday and Friday afternoons from 1.30p – 3.00pm approx.
We also have a good variety of rooms available for hire, and opportunities for volunteers with all sorts of skills and interests.
