The Lounge is our homely social space where you may come to spend a few hours on a Wednesday or Friday morning, 10am to 1pm.
We provide services for the homeless and vulnerably housed, and for anyone suffering hardship, or just looking for friendship.
Services include provision of hot food and drinks, essential clothing from our Clothing Store, laundry and shower facilities, use of a phone and computer. You can pass the time chatting, reading a newspaper, playing games such as dominoes and chess, having a strum on our guitar etc.
We are running a small “Book Club” which is currently discussing David Wilkerson’s “Hungry for more of Jesus”.
As a couple of our regular visitors have said, “I come here to see friendly faces, and get away from the missus for a few hours! I find peace and tranquillity here!”, and “The shower is an attraction. There would be no-one around to help me if I showered and fell at home.”
For other places where you may obtain food or other services, see our Local Agencies link page.
